The FKF Premier League has received a major boost after signing a 10-year sponsorship deal worth Ksh 1.12 billion with a gaming company. Starting from the 2025/2026 season, the league will benefit from Ksh 85 million annually, offering much-needed financial support.
As part of the agreement, the sponsor has secured exclusive naming rights to the FKF Premier League. This deal marks the company’s return to Kenyan football after previously sponsoring the league between 2015 and 2019. Back then, they exited the scene citing tough regulations, including delayed license renewals and restrictions on their paybill services, which impacted their business.
Kenyan top-flight football has been without a sponsor since 2021 when a different betting company withdrew from all sports sponsorships in the country.
S
peaking during the announcement, FKF President Hussein Mohammed called the deal a game-changer for Kenyan football.
“This is a new beginning. We've had tough times finding sponsors, but this partnership gives us hope for better days ahead,” said Mohammed.
The gaming firm’s CEO also shared his optimism, saying they believe in the potential of Kenyan football and are eager to help bring back its glory days.
