In a thrilling final that will be remembered for years, St. Joseph's Boys Kitale, affectionately known as JOBO, have been crowned national secondary school football champions for the first time in their history. The team's unbeaten run culminated in a hard-fought 1-0 victory over a formidable Musingu High School side in Mumias.

The decisive moment came in the second half when Shadrack Kiboi rose above the defense to power a header into the net from a well-placed free-kick. The lone goal was enough to seal the victory and ignite celebrations among the JOBO supporters who had packed the stadium. The final was a star-studded affair, with a large and enthusiastic crowd joined by a host of dignitaries, including Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa and Senator Boni Khalwale.

The win is a testament to years of dedication and perseverance for St. Joseph's, a school that has experienced its share of near-misses in previous tournaments. While Musingu High School will undoubtedly be disappointed with the result, both teams have earned the right to represent Kenya at the upcoming FEASSA (East Africa Secondary School Games) in Kakamega County.

For JOBO, this championship marks a moment of redemption and pure joy, capping off an unforgettable season with the ultimate prize.
